Tonya Stewart

Attorney at Law

Injured victims need an attorney that will stand up to insurance companies. An attorney who won’t just treat them as a number, but as a human being. One who genuinely cares about their health and will advise and explain the process every step of the way.

Arrested or accused individuals need an attorney that will fight zealously and aggressively on their behalf. An attorney who understands the dynamics of the criminal justice system, who won’t back down to State Prosecutors.

This is where I come in. My name is Flora LaTonya Stewart. Most people know me as Tonya. I am an attorney who was born and raised in Lake Wales, Florida, specializing in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Defense.

I started in the legal profession as an Assistant Public Defender in Bartow, Florida where I worked in the misdemeanor, felony, juvenile, and violation of probation divisions. I later went on to work for a Personal Injury Firm in Sanford, FL, specializing in car and truck accident cases where I helped secure millions in settlements for injured clients.

“I pride myself on my ability to seek great results for my clients.”

In 2001, I graduated magna cum laude from Florida A&M University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. In 2006, I earned a Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M College of Law, where I was part of the Prestigious Law Review staff that published the law school’s first Law Review Article. In 2014, I graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) with an MBA from Florida International University. I am a member of the Florida Bar, Georgia Bar, National Bar Association, American Bar Association, the Young Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
